Global WoodShow, Part of Saudi Wood Forum, concluded its third edition at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center following three days of commercial engagement, technical showcases, and specialized industry discussions that brought together decision makers and wood and furniture professionals from Saudi Arabia and international markets.

Held from 1 to 3 September 2026 under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the exhibition delivered an integrated industry experience spanning timber, panels, and raw materials through to woodworking machinery, industrial tools, technologies, and finishing solutions.

The third edition welcomed prominent government and industry representatives, including Dr Ahmed bin Sami Al-Zawawi, Assistant Deputy Minister for Industrial Competitiveness and Advanced Manufacturing; Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Chamber; Saud bin Abdullah Alsheikh, Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Exhibitions and Conferences; and Adviser Abdullah bin Mohammed Alsheikh.

Their presence alongside a broad group of experts and industry professionals, underscored the exhibition’s growing institutional and commercial significance as a specialized event connecting industry, trade, technology, and forward looking dialogue.

This year’s edition reinforced the exhibition’s role as a leading hub for industrial trade and business development, giving participants direct opportunities to expand their commercial networks, forge partnerships, and strengthen their presence across regional and international markets. A key milestone was the signing of a strategic partnership. Global WoodShow, Part of Saudi Wood Forum, signed a partnership agreement with the Portuguese Association of Wood and Furniture Industries (AIMMP) to establish the Saudi Wood and Furniture Academy.

The academy marks a strategic investment in the future of Saudi Arabia’s wood and furniture industries, creating a dedicated framework for talent development, and advanced technical training. The initiative is designed to strengthen local manufacturing capabilities, raise production standards, and enhance the Kingdom’s competitiveness across regional and international markets.

The conference further expanded the exhibition’s strategic value through an agenda addressing the economic, technological, and design trends transforming the industry. Discussions explored Saudi Vision 2030, the role of major national developments in driving commercial demand, and the impact of design led development on the wood and furniture value chains.

It also examined the growing influence of artificial intelligence, and three dimensional printing on Saudi architecture, construction, design, and advanced manufacturing. These discussions positioned technology, sustainability, and production efficiency at the center of the industry’s next phase of growth.

Held alongside the main exhibition, the International Furniture Accessories, Components and Semi-Finished Products Exhibition (IFAC), broadened the event’s commercial scope, connecting visitors with the latest materials, components, semi finished products, and manufacturing solutions for furniture production and interior fit out.

By connecting wood processing with furniture production, the co-located exhibition expanded the event’s technical and commercial reach across components, accessories, fittings, and interior solutions. This combined offering responded to changing market requirements and created wider opportunities for sourcing, cross border collaboration, and long term commercial partnerships.
